Primary bevels Norton 3X update *LINK*

>Some interesting results since the first trial of 60 grit Norton 3X for grinding primary bevels.
I have updated the page to show what I think are carbide pop outs, and other defects in the edges. These defects became very clear after honing the first microbevel on the freshly ground irons.
I have also added a few images of various abrasives - the 60 grit Norton 3X, the 3M abrasives I use, and the Norton coarse Silicon Carbide bench stone.
The bottom line - if you turn a burr on your tools using 60 grit Norton 3M then you have probably done some damage to the edge.
More testing to follow.
