I've not had the opportunity to ever have a Christmas haul like Jay's. The only thing I can do is to show his list to my wife and hope for some understanding :-) I felt pretty good about getting a set of Hirsch chisels.

With my birthday involved I can work out combo gifts (like planes). My wife did a great job of managing the chisel purchases among family members so there were no size overlaps.

There's a couple other family birthdays around the holidays, so there is always a separate celebration from the Christmas get together(s).
