>I got a beater K5C for $10 to fix up as my #5 for more aggressive cuts. As it had about 20% japan, surface rust, light pitting, a tote broken into four pieces wrapped in friction tape and the wrong iron I felt no guilt performing heavy cleaning and a repaint. I also made a replacement tote out of Bolivian Rosewood. It�s my first tote and I�m very happy with the results. Thank you to all who gave me advice a while back when I decided to try making one.
