Fibonacci gauge?
Ernie Miller
>I saw plans for making a Fibonacci Gauge in an old issue of wood magazine. It uses long armes of 6 3/4" and a short arm of 4 1/2 with a 2 1/2" conecting arm it is used for a quick gauge for making the Golden means. I am wanting to make a larger version for furnature how would you go about calculating the length of the arms? would it just be a matter of multiplying the length of the arms in this gauge to somthing like 20 1/4, 12 3/4 and a connecting arm of 8 1/4". It looks like it would make designing projects alot easier.
