Received my first Imai chisel!

Imai "regular" chisel, 1 7/8" width, three hollows... Looks darn good...
Now I need to find a tutorial on seating the hoop, any suggestions?
Sword steel chisels are next (two of them), I've been told that I might get them in time for Christmas...

Kayoko included in the box five neat chopstick kits, beautifully wrapped, with a doll in front whose head ends up being a toothpick holder, very cute!

I bought my chisel from Misugi Design, www.misugidesigns.com
Imai (and Tasai) chisels are quite well regarded these days, can't go wrong with either one. I have a friend who bought Tasai chisels, so I thought I'd get the Imai so that we can compare...
Service at Misugi is excellent, Kayoko is a pearl...

>THe purpose of the water is to soften the wood so it can mushroom without cracking. Once mushrooms it dries and there is no danger of rust. Just oil the chisel after you finish setting the hoops.
