The ice storms in the middle of the Country got me. Nearly 20 hours after leaving for the airport I'm back home. I never I got as close as a gate with a boarding pass but never made it out of Arkansas.

Too bad about the weather there. Heavy rain here for tomorrow, but Saturday looks good. I am going tp try to make it up tomorrow night for Saturday's event. Sounds like a great time. Anyone else going?

Looks very interesting, especially if you substitute "bevel up" for "block plane." I haven't yet digested it all, but thanks, lot to learn in those 3 pages.

I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to make it, but on the other hand it does make my decision a bit easier.
I guess we've got some ice and snow on the way, too. Just feels weird because today was an unseasonably warm and muggy day -- over 60 degrees, which is practically considered to be blazing heat in November in my neck of the woods.
Oh well, I hope that these events become more regular, and we'll get a chance to meet.

>I scanned the whole book and there wasn't anything new on Japanese planes. Nice refresher though. The articles on molding and panel raising planes look like they need my attention, plus, of course, the block plane/clearance angle article. Not a bad book at all.
