#3 transformed into rabbet
Jim Reed @ Tallahassee
>OK, OK, the earlier posts just got me going. With a little holiday time on my hands, I was able to get into the shop and transform a lowly #3 into a semi rabbet. I like the size of the #3 for this job because it is the small. The surgery went well and took about an hour. I started with a junk #3 body. I think it may be a MF. Gnawed out a hole and then got a junk #4/5 blade and worried the side off. Put it all together and now it is transformed into a nice rabbet. Here is a picture of what it can do when unleashed.
