King waterstone question

>Can anyone tell me the difference between the S-2 and S-3 stones? I have an S-2 6000 stone and an unlabeled S-3, but that doesn't really tell me anything. Is it a quality thing? Binder?
Thanks.

>In an old Garrett Wade catalog S-1 is 7/8 X 2 7/8 X 8 1/4 while a S-3 is 1/2 X 2 1/2 X 7 1/4. I would guess S-2 is an intermediate size.
