Some questions about Alburnum
Jason McSpadden
>Yesterday I was trying to read some of Alburnum's website, alot of it comes in phonetic greek, but the english had these words about a joiners bench, "The bench top is 2-inch thick spruce board, 10-inch wide edge butt joined with dowel reinforcements. The front apron is the same material the bottom edge having a fine bead shot at the edge. This beading also relieves tension within the wood and keeps boards and beams from warping."
My questions are, "What does that last sentence mean? Is it true?
I'm wanting to build a Nicholson style bench that this seems to describe but I'm unsure what he means by this. Is it something that I should do?
Thanks,
Jason
