Beardshaw and Son Dovetail Saw
Paul in NJ
>This saw was found last weekend at the flea market. It is marked 'Beardshaw and Son' 'Cast Steel' on the brass spine. The blade measures 7-1/2 inches long and has 20 ppi. The handle is nicely shaped, has two split nuts, and is most comfortable. I think they were in business from the early 1800's until 1970 or so. Can anyone hazard a guess to its age or tell me how common they are?
