Also can't speak to the newer toyota trucks, but our '87 is just about to turn over 200K. In the 11 years I've been maintaining it I've probably averaged less than $100 per year in non-oil change type repairs. Haven't even done the clutch in 160K, but we're easy on clutches.

So can't help ya on price, but I really like the product in general.

Right now it has about 122000 miles with no major problems. Expect about 17.8 to 20 miles per gallon. They are fun to drive. Hard to keep the foot out of the throttle body sometimes. :>)

I'd do an ad search and try to locate one through a private seller.

New ones are a bit overgrown for my tastes, but it looks like that'w what I'll trade up to someday.

30 day unlimited lookup was (I believe) $25.00. Was shopping Ford Rangers for my son to drive. Carfax alerted me to salvage/restoration title work on one and a major accident (not totaled) on another. Won't buy another used vehicle without it.

I'm not saying CarFax is a bad thing. I've used and would use it again. I'm just saying that it may not be entirely complete data. Just a word of caution I guess.
