>Sometime during the Shopfest, I realized that my calipers were all turning to rust. The solution was to get them off the pegboard and build them a *house*. Here it is. Best part is not only are they all together, they are sorted and organized and can now be brought inside during humid weather. First step was to get out the glue and nail gun and then find some scraps of wood.

I have a nailer, 1/4" crown stapler, air powered random orbit sander, belt sander, etc., (I could go on and on but will spare your delicate eyes) that I have not used now for several years but just cannot bring myself to get rid of them permanently. I guess I did use the nail gun recently, to make some neat little garage sale sign holders. I have all these power tools because I used to build cabinets in my little shop to pay the bills. The thing I object to is tv shows that make people think they have to have these tools in order to build stuff, and the fact is you could build some really nice stuff with less money invested in tools than my nail gun cost me.

>Me too Jack. Screwgun and drywall screws for my "down and dirtys" which is 99.9 % of what I currently build. however, the shop is coming together in leaps and bounds now and I intend to retire this method once I get things set up to my liking.
