The pleasures of organization (rambles)

>One of my first post-retirement projects has been cleaning up and organizing my shop. While it's still a work in progress, I have hung clamps up in one of the stud bays - previously, C-clamps, spring clamps, etc., were in a large plastic box, which always meant a good deal of digging through when I needed something. The handscrews will go in the next stud bay over. Then I start on braces and eggbeater drills, I think.
Today, as part of the window installation in the bathroom, I needed lots of 3" C-clamps (tedious explanation below). It was just great - walk into shop, look at hook with 3-4" C-clamps on it, grab some (five - all but one of the six I turn out to own), go to work.
So why five C-clamps? Because the bathroom construction is rather funky, I decided to leave the interior trim in place when removing the old window and set the new window frame (into which the vinyl window will actually go) against the trim, a labor saving step that will probably only add about 25% to the job time over removing it. And in splitting out the sill, I forgot that there were nails from the stool down into the sill - so I split a long chunk off the stool, when then needed to be glued back together.
