>Bob Lang's Greene & Greene book is about to be published. For those interested, Mr. Lang will have some copies of his own to sell before Amazon is ready to ship. Link to his website below.

I don't know of any other reference to G&G joinery details for specific pieces of furniture, though Darrel Peart's recent book is excellent on how to make the ornamental details.

No interest, etcetc.

>Thanks Wiley,

I saw an advance copy yesterday, and the quality of the printing and photos are a step up from my previous books, better paper and color photos. I will also have large format plans of some of the pieces available in November. As you kindly noted, there are some details shown that can't be found elsewhere.

By the way, I've always admired your reproduction of the Gamble Chiffonier. Do you have a link to photos?

thanks again,

Bob Lang

>Bob,

Thanks for the kind words. Photos of the Gamble chiffonier-alike are linked below. There are some carving closeups at Darrel Peart's G&G site, but Darrel's galleries are behind password and require registration.

The main reason I put a notice up on your book is this: Every day I wish there had been a similar resource available when I built that chiffonier. I could not reconstruct the interior detailing from photos.

So your book should be a major advance on what exists right now.
