The containers are perfectly sized to fit a single Norton waterstone and they have a little mesh tray in the bottom to keep the water stone up out of any sludge in the bottom of the container.

You can see a couple of them in use in the following picture.

You can see from the picture that the containers stack up to aid storage.

Yes that is the one. We turned one upside down with water in it and it was leak proof...a nice feature as well was the tray that the stone can sit on inside the container.

I have several Norton's, but I bought them back when they did not come with the container they now come with, so these are a great find for me too.

I tried 96th Street first, but found them to be out of that size as well. I found my three at the Noblesville Meijer. How many do you need? I could try to grab them for you tomorrow.

By the way, thanks again for the generous prize-passing-up-move Saturday. I was quite impressed by that move and excited to become the owner of a Knight smoother. Now to really learn how to use it...

Just enjoy the plane. It won't be long until we start seeing you at Martin's LFOD auction in Indy (there's one tomorrow), trying to snatch up vintage tools as you slide headlong down the hand tool slope. It's knowing what you're about to discover that made it easy to provide the 'slope grease.'
