Take a scrap ~10" 2x4, and rip a ~1" deep kerf down it with your table saw. There's actually room for two kerfs. You can stand your DT saw up by putting the blade in the kerf. It'll protect your blade from dings, and handle from sliding scuffs on the shelf.

A little stand like this works well for a stack of card scrapers and protects the burr.

I know these sound a bit crude and that is not usually my way of doing things but I moved to a new house on short notice and into a new shop and have adopted the nail in the wall technique just to get things out of the wat until I can get an idea of what I want to do and it has served me well and makes my saws and other oft used items pretty accessible. Sometimes I think we make things too hard and it gets in the way of the real work. If I had nothing but time(and tools) I'd probably have a really neat system but I don't and I'd rather get some woodwokring done.

Anyways a long answer to say pound a nail in the wall.

I saw this somewhere as a method of storing saws with this style of handle. There is a semi-circular cut-out in the handle, and it hangs over the top of the little wood block. I attached a wooden washer outboard so it can't fall off, and also notched the block, it's very secure... If not pretty. I guess I should upgrade it at some point. It's actually easier to remove and replace the other saws, and I can store a lot more density in the kerf racks. But this is a very pretty saw.

All my racks start with plywood hanging from French cleats that run around the whole shop. So I can move any rack anywhere in the shop, about 80 feet of cleats.
