To much "artsy" . . .

>Now I'm seeing the "why" behind the designs of stair saws I've seen before. You can see the "look" I was going for but we've removed, maybe, too much material from the "neck". I'm contemplating drilling and pinning (shank) straight down through the top of the handle through the neck. I'd only have to hide the one spot in the top. Pros or cons or better ideas ?

That might be too thin. By pinning, do you mean a wood dowel? That is what I would use, and I would probably use a wood which would contrast on purpose.
If a steel pin, I think any slight variation in the hole itself might cause it to break the saw when putting it in.
I would use epoxy as well with either type.

Had to go back and look at the pic. Those are PATRIOT Launcher canister assemblies. They'll fit onto the Launchers. Thats my $ job !

Yea, I know LOTS of WWs who make the "toy" stuff. I got tiered of paying $60.00 for a model kit that only entertained me for about a weekend. Sooooo . . . started makeing my own.Then a couple of my Knuckle-head GI Buddies wanted to pay me to make "their" piece of equipment. Not to mention . . . there AIN'T much going on in Iraq between being terified ! And the only materials are packing crates and skids.

>Well, its in. You don't have to look very hard for the head of the pin but with finnish it should'nt glare out. Now its looking like I may not have enough room for the Disston bolt heads in that rail on the bottom edge. Thinking about grinding/milling down the diameter of the heads. Solve one, three rear their ugly heads (sic) !
