>I received the new Veritas standard reamer today and just gave it a try. I am occasional customer of Lee Valley but this is the first woodworking tool I have purchased from them. Mostly I order hardware and gardening stuff from them. I am very pleased with how it works. It made a nice clean taper in soft pine, even in the end grain. It is machined very nicely and came very sharp, ready to use. The hex shank allowed it to be held securely in my brace, an adapter was not needed. Too bad it is not made in Canada but in China. That said it is a nice tool and a good value.
