>Let me know if this is gett'n old folks ! After hearing many opinions and reading a lot there was still no definitive answers for applying Japanning. Sooooo . . .seat-o-the-pants here . . . After the first coat and two days drying time, yes Virginia, still VERY tacky. I was sure another coat on this was going to result in a VERY goopy mess, yes ?(We'll ASSUME this stuff will wind up to be it's own solvent) OK, lets cook it and see what happens.OH, MY ! 400 for 1 hour. NO MORE TACKY ! Of course it still looks like a coat of VERY dirty engine oil. Going in to put on a second coat. Oh . . . took my life in my hands and put it in the kitchen oven (pucker). . . NO SMELL ! . . .(un-pucker).
