When building furniture I often want to make a curved chamfer (smaller chamfer in the end than in the middle). I have tried to scew a plane but I get tearouts.
Any suggestions on a better tool?

>Stanley made a chamfer shave, the #65, for tight quarters. I have a few but haven't yet used them on a project. Seems to me that it would work well. If I got tearout, I would try approaching from the other direction. Corner wood can have an attitude. Good luck.

>This is what they're designed for (among other uses, of course...). If you're after precision, think about how to mark the limits of your chamfer and then shave to that. This is easier with a chamfer that's even all the way along, of course.
