>The project was to make a cutter for a #39 1/4" dado plane. Those of you in the know understand that this is a real gnarly piece of metal which must be made with much precision. There are several angles to hit with little room for error. If done right, you will pull some of the prettiest shavings known in all of planedom. I could't wait to dig into the heat treating batch and see how the little devil made out. I did some sharpening, some honing, and cut two of the prettiest little curls ever!! Here is the proof:
