It�s a very special feeling to know that this is mine, it�s even more special to know it was made by some one who has great skill and talent, even more than that, he is my friend...Thanks Konrad!

I've seen very few "original" plane blade thicker than that, regardless of plane.
Perhaps a few Norrises.
Even massive 30" woody jointers "only" had 3/16" blades, wether parallel or tapered.

Probably won't see many "original" planes with ebony and ivory either. Fact is, I choose not to make Norris or Spiers repros, so I don't understand the purpose of the comment.

I was trying to add context to your phrase "only 3/16 thick", and pointing out that blades thicker than this are most unusual. (*)
It certainly wasn't meant to imply that your planes are somehow not copying Norrises "properly".
I know (and admire) that you are very much ploughing your own furrow, design-wise.
