>What's the status on this? I didn't buy one when they came out, but still occasionally think of something from there. Are they still being actively sold by the guy who put them together? Are you guys still using yours? Any of them coming up second-hand anywhere?

I have one kicking around here somewhere. Never even put it in a computer 'cause I didn't know how. If worse comes to worse and I can find some smart guy who can burn a copy of it--if they are copyable--you're welcome to a copy. I have no clue how to burn a copy.

I copied mine to my harddrive - easier than carrying the disk around. I find that I refer to it at the least a couple of times each month. It is not only wonderful nostalga, but there is so much excellent information. It continues to be an important reference for history, technique and tools.
Bugbear was asking about the availability of copies a few weeks back, so he may know about this. I have not seen them on sale on WC for some time (I got mine in the original distribution after BP closed). If there are no problems with copyrite I am happy to burn a copy and send it to you.

IIRC the fellow who undertook the task was in the Redmund WA area at the time, and I think his first name was "William"; but my memory is often bad these days.

The fellow who produced it was Andrew (I have nephews named Andrew and William; guess dotage has set in) Field of Bothell, WA. His email addy used to be 'a field@winisp.net'. Don't know if that still works.
Andrew went to a lot of trouble to do this and his family put up with a lot of imposition with the storage of mugs, et al. I don't know if he will respond to requests, but you might post back here if he still has any and wants to get rid of them.
