I drill them with a endmill in my mill and I can do it in a single pass. but with a bradpoint it will wander.

>My first tote is a success, and yes, I drilled the holes before roughing out the profile. I drilled a squared up piece of stock about 1/8" wider than the finished size so that the bit entered at 90 degrees to the surface. It wandered almost 1/8", but there was enough stock to salvage it. A Veritas saddle square helped me scribe the block, I'll try scribing all the way around & drilling from both ends.

>Drill the stock, then shape the tote around the hole. This will enable you to clamp the stock so that you are drilling vertically, which is easiers and the most controlled. You can start with a drawn outline, or just a line. Just leave the cutting of the outline until after the hole has been cut.
