When she first drew off the paper and onto the desk, I thought it was pretty cute and that maybe I would leave a few colourful marks on it when I finally refinished the top. By the time she outgrew it, it looked like the sorting floor at Crayola. No problem I just planed it clean and refinished.

When Kid 2 came along I had to make a more office like wider piece for both of them with some central storage. Now there is a 10 week old Kid 3, and I don't know if she is going to get her turn at the small table, it's a pretty useful end table for now.

I got both the cherry top and hickory base timber with my chainsaw mill.
