Leadville is not too far away and well worth the drive but the prices I saw in an antique store for a Stanley 40 and Stanley 45 were way way higher than the e-bay prices. The original site of Dillon was in the middle of Lake Dillon. It had to be moved after Denver decided it needed a lake for a water supply. Great scenery, everywhere you look. Be sure to eat a Pug Ryan's in Dillon.

A guy has a booth there that is pretty much devoted to old tools. He has some nice things for somewhat reasonable prices.

I don't know of anything in Dillon - other than the beautiful scenery!

I want to say broadway st. but it may be havanna st there are lots of shops in a small area. this place was reasonably priced for tools but not cheap enough that you could resale at a proffet but good user prices. it's been a year year and a half sinse I have been there. as I live in kansas. another thought would be the I70 flea market I don't know if they are open on thursdays and fridays but definatly sat and sundays. take sunscreen!! lots of stuff to be found there. prices are all ove the place it is big so wear good shoes.

If you are interested in mining, check out the Mining Hall of Fame in Leadville. They also have an excursion train in Leadville.

As Ernie M points out, check out the antique stores on Broadway in Denver. I did see some tools.

The point is "new" rust.....
