Something wrong here

>When I logged on this AM at 7:15, I received the message that 4,369 messages had been received since my last visit on April 12, 2006. All well and good, but my last visit was yesterday, July 3, 2006. All seems to work well, but I'm just curious as to the cause of this error.

>Probably, the Cookie Monster got to one of your cookies, specifically, the one that keeps track of the last message displayed the last time you signed on to the Hand Tool Forum. When you signed on this time, your computer sent that number back to WoodCentral, and WoodCentral used it to figure out which messages should be marked for you with the cherries, , which BTW, are not a chisel advertisement.

>I have the same problem, except it counts from Jan 2006, and has since Jan 2006. Now that I think about it, that may be about when I changed from IE to Mozilla. I guess it's no problem since I only look at the count when someone posts questions about them.

>Been using Mozilla since a clean load of XP early this summer/late spring. My counter is up to date. Agree with Sir Will that the cookie is the only thing that initiates a count update. Suggest you guys see if your cookies (at least for Woodcentral) are enabled in your current configuration.JR

>Cookies seem to be OK, but I don't know what else it could be. The count seems to be OK this AM.
