>And the winner is...... The 4 1/2 in brone with cocbolo tote and knob, with the high angle frog, only $400. Only 500 being made. Look on their home page, also on the "What's new" page. Now I need to figure out where I'm going to get $400 :)

>Thanks for the heads up John.

Looks like a nice plane. If I ordered one I don't reckon I could wait until the August shipping date stated on the website. I'd want it yesterday.

Regards,

Ian.

>Thanks for the heads up John. I've actually been calling them up and checking that regularly but missed it. I'm surprised they decided to only go with 500 to make. While I know some of their ealier special edition planes were limited to 500, I would have thought such a common user size would have allowed for many more. Especially with users like myself who think more weight in a smoother is so desirable, that they will entertain crazy ideas such as injecting lead into a #36 tranny body.

Perhaps a shortage in supply is part of the plan ;-) Ofcourse, I'm also not in a position to have a clue as to the business/market side of the plane making.

Regardless, I got my order in. Now to come up with a face saving justification to the wife as to why I needed a second LN4.5. I guess I have a month or two to work on that one.

enjoy,

Dave

>You and I are in the same boat. I too have been badgering them about this plane.

Got my order in as well. I don't have a LN 4.5 and this will be my only one. I kinda hope/wish I can swap the frog for a 45'r as I already have a 50 in the 5.5

My wife doesn't know and I'll probably wait till it shows up before explaining. Sounds like mine will show up around Christmas time according to Rob Cosman. What can I say other then I believe in Santa!

Cheers
