>I'm sorry for this one guys, but I've got to or I'm gonna blow....about two years ago my new wife (we just married) and I bought our home. It was the middle of february when we moved in and the bum neglected to mention that the furnace was wasted. To make a long story short, 6,000 dollars later we had a new furnace, we took him to court for only 3,000 of it (we thought half was fair, and we were peeved about him being dishonest). we won the case, but haven't seen a dime. I placed a judgement at the county clerks office, but I doubt that'll help. He works sparadically and under the table so I can't garnish his wages. I'd almost forgotten about the whole mess until sunday.
Sunday I was riding down the erie canal when I saw him pass me on what I believe was his boat (it even has his name on the side)!!!! he even had the nerve to wave! I heard a rumor that he bought a boat, but this thing is a yacht....35 ft+, cabin and all....I called the sheriff's to see if I can levy it...and I can, as long as I find out from the DMV that it's in his name and there is no mortgage.. heres where the real fun begins, that stupid privacy act thing. GRRRR! apparently I have to be god or a lawyer to get through this thing. anyone got any ideas before I get worse and take a bit and brace to the bottom of the hull?!? thanks I almost feel better now.
