Hoot of the day: How not to sell a saw on Ebay *LINK*

>Perhaps a more apt title to this post is "Shades of Lorraine Bobbit".
Please forgive me for posting an up and coming auction. I know those who plan to snipe this will be enraged at the idea of drawing a crowd and my impertinence. I just couldn't resist.
Am I right? Isn't that a pruning saw? Sometimes called a lopping saw?
Oh, don't pass up having a gander at the other items this witless seller is offering.
Sounds like they're selling pictures more than saw

>Autographed picture of the supermodel - I wonder if they aren't using it as the photo equivalent of a vanity publisher, with the saw, plane, etc., just serving as a loss leader.
Still, you gotta give them credit for creativity.

>Just for S&Gs I "Googled" Dick DeMoulpied and he is a photogragher, "Internationally Known Photographic Artist" (?). I'm an "Internationally Known Dump Picker". My wife's nephew lives in Germany and has seen my collection, but I don't have a web site to show it off like Dick does.
Little Sea Biscuit, aka Sienna on his site, is a model. Who Knew?

>I couldn't hardly wait to get home from work and read the oneliners. It took about 5 minutes to get over convulsive laughing from the pinch dog line. Then I followed Kevin's lead and started looking things up.
Indeed, both Dick and Rita have websites. I'm still a little befuddled about whether they are having a laugh on us...but tend to think not. I guess Dick started a career in photography in the mid-1940s, which should put him at around 80 or so now. What Rita has on her website leaves me feeling pretty sad actually.
Here we recognize an already old...but awfully happy looking...Dick with a much younger Rita, younger that is than she appears in the current tool adverts.
I'm now ashamed of myself. The only decent thing that I've learned from my disgraceful exploitation of Dick and Rita for a cheap laugh has been to refresh my knowledge of Seabisquet and sea bisquets. I was hoping to find a W.C. Fields quote of endearment perhaps spoken to Mae West along the lines of "...my little sea biscuit". But, no luck.

>The scary thing is that someone out there ( I just know it) is seeing those pictures and is turned on. The first thing I thought when I saw her was "Ow, my eyes, I can't see" :)

>The first thing I thought was "That must be an ugly saw and she is holding it to make it look better". At a closer look I see that the saw isn't to shabby, but than I read the writeup and put off the idea of bidding on it when they said they's send a pic of her as well. Something tells me I don't even want these people knowing my address.

I don't see where you "exploited" these people. you merely brought to our attention an unusual ebay auction, which, had I of found it first I also would of shared it.
If any exploitation is going on it is them doing it to themselves. I don't see e-bay being the place for that type of photo.

>Scott I thought that it was Tommy Skags making them comments up there but it was you. I just checked my little blue book and you address is not in it but I bet if I tried I could get it. You don't want to start worrying what may show up in you mailin not so discreet packages.
