I spoke to a person named Johnny Cash......believe it or not. Very nice guy, who served me quickly and well. He said that they were running short and since I needed a 145 inch band, they couldn't help me, but that they had a 180 incher which I took. He said that he'd recut and weld it for me n/c. Even buying extra inches, it was a consideraable savings as these go for a buck 25 or so an inch. The extra inches will become a bow saw maybe.....for the backyard pruning.

I guess that 3-4 pitch is much too coarse for a WW bowsaw. Anyone have any other ideas about what to do with my extra 35 inch cutoff that I bought???

I never could get myself to buy a pricey carbide band(til now) all these years since I got acceptable life out of my hard backs, but we'll see how I like it compared to my standard throw aways.

All I can think of, and it's pretty minimal is you could always use the 35 inches to splice into the current one if it got damaged, normaly one wouldn't bother, but these bands are spendy.

I don't want to leave the impression I am dissatisfied with the sales process. It really was like something from Glengarry Glen Ross, including they passed me over to a closer. But on the other hand, they were as good as their word, and the way they closed me was by cutting the cost, fixing up a broker for me, and getting me 100 dollar truck freight from cali to Toronto (before they had a Canadian warehouse). So really it worked to my advantage.

The saw was not marked Laguna when I got it, and the Carter guides were not very functional, but I'm still a happy guy.
