Great week:-)

Gary B in Central NY

>Hey everyone,

I don't usually post too much on here but I'm happy and I have a few gloats :-)

1. First and foremost I just got married to the LOML

2. I got to make the table name card holders for our reception. It involved some steam bent Makore. (I'll post the pics after we get them developed. I also got to use my garage sale 7 dollar #2 to clean them up, what a sweet little plane! the funny thing is I haven't even sharpened it yet.

3. Below I (hopefully) have pictures of the type 11 corrugated #5 I picked up locally off of ebay. I love it so far, but it needs a tune up. $23.50 seemed reasonable for a good plane.

>we wanna see that $7 #2!

Gary YOU BIGTIME SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!! I paid $200 for my #2 10 years ago. }:~(

For $23.50 you did rather well for such a nice #5. I picked up a grungy #6 sized, corrigated Sargent last Wednesday morning for $6! :~) I'm fixing to go out to the shop and zap it now for showing off to a fellow rust hunter tomorrow.

>WOW! Talk about "brain screening", I read that he just got married, but than got completely sidetracked by that nice looking #5, and than completely all catty-whompas when he said $7 #2.

Congrats on you're new Marriage, and new Life. Hopefully LOYL is also a Galoot, and won't require much training in rust-hunting. Accept my apology for overlooking your announcement of it in your initial post.

Has she put up a "honey-do list" board yet, or is making the board the first thing on the list?

$7 #2's grumble,you grumble, grumble suck grumble grumble.......;~)

>You didn't tell me at Rosewood that you were putting the "noose" on! Congratulations sir!

$7 for a #2? Some people have been maimed around these parts for much lesser gloats...

Best wishes on the your new life! Any little woodworkers in the plans? :)

>Denis,

good to hear from you! Some little woodworkers are in the plans, though not materialized yet. That trip up to Altmonte was just what I needed. I'll definately make it up for round two. Thanks again

Gary

ps. I'll get pics of the #2 up soon.
