>Oops. What I saw was the 'news-stand only' special edition re: Shaker stuff. That one slipped right by me. And yet john in KS has his August issue. I am sooooo behind.

Got mine

>I got my latest 'regular' issue with Frank K on the cover a a nice write-up about the plane-fest held recently at the PWW shop. It arrived last week.

I don't understand...
Mark Nowicki
>.. why Pop. Woodworking puts out newstand only issues. Personally, as a subscriber, I feel that those issues should be included in the subscription package, even if it means a price increase. I don't remember, or care, how much I paid for the subscription, but every time I hear about those special issues, I get slighty irritated with Pop Woodworking. IMO, they are needlessly segmenting their market.

>Mark,
They're just a re-hash of projects you get in the regular seven issues, I believe. If you've had your sub for any length of time you'd just be getting repeats.
FWIW, PWW is breaking all records with its overseas delivery nowadays - got mine on Saturday!

>Geez you two, I don't even have my copy yet either.
But then, no subscriptions get here very quickly. My mom got us both a subscription for Cook's Illustrated and maintain's it every year for us. I usually get mine two weeks after she gets hers--and she's just a couple towns away...
Take care, Mike
You all suck (or maybe our P.O. sucks)

>Worst mail delivery I've ever experienced. My guess is the town is growing faster than the Post Office can keep up with. We have a real hard time just finding a parking spot at the P.O. when we need to go there in person. Mail delivery at the house is usually after 4:00PM The other side of the street gets there's around noon.
Magazines? Forgetaboutit, they get delivered when they get a-round-tuit (assuming they are good and ready to deliver).
Rant over.
