>stopped by a garage sale late today, and spotted a Millers Falls brace with transparent red knob and handle. Not, I guess, Buck Rogers, since the Tenite is solid color. Turned it down, as I had $1.50 and the seller wanted $4 and wouldn't move. Did I miss a fabulously valuable deal?

>Was a Parsons De Lux brace. The best brace that Millers Falls made and even back in the 1930's cost $9.00 when most other braces cost half that. Having never seen one in the wild I would have to say it is a very uncommon brace, one in nice condition would be a pretty pricy tool I would think.The planes made with these handles are very desirable too and will bring the large bucks.

Is interesting that you would go to a yard sale with only $1.50 but I suppose this reflects on how cheap things are out west in Old Tool Heaven.....Not like the old tool hell I live in !.....Todd
