>Build your own levelers. That's what I did. The strategy I used was made easier by building the leg posts up from five layers of 3/4" plywood, but you could instead chop mortises from solid stock and, after installing the levelers, back fill the mortises with "stub" tenons.
I started with, for each 4" square leg post, 9" of 1/2" diameter allthread (threaded rod), one threaded rod connector (a nut about 1 1/2" long), two 1/2" fender washers, two 1/2" hex nuts, and a glued up pad of plywood, 4" x 4" x 1 1/2".
Drill a centered hole up through the bottom of the leg post about 8" deep x 5/8" diameter. From the side of the post, beginning about 2" from the bottom end, chop a t-shaped mortise, sized to accommodate the connector, with a short, wider mortise above it to accommodate the fender washer (the washer is just to spread out the upward force on the connector). Insert, align (using the allthread) and secure the fender washer and connector. Using a pair of crescent wrenches, jamb a nut, the other fender washer, and the other nut onto the bottom end of the allthread. Drill a hole the diameter and thickness of the fender washer into the top of the plywood pad. Extend a hole, through the same center, large enough to accommodate the lower nut, and further extend a 5/8" diameter hole through the pad. Thread the allthread up through the center of the leg post and through the connector. Drop the other end of the allthread into the pad. Repeat for other legs. Adjust bench height and level with crescent wrench.
