I agree - one of the good ones. Creative, did it his way, and really belonged in Bolinas. True Bolinas story: even the artists used to steal the direction signs to town every time CalTrans put them up, so people from the city wouldn't discover the town and infect it with too many people.

>Thanks for posting the article. Back around 1972, it was an article in one of the national magazines about Art Carpenter that started me on the road to woodworking. I grew up with carpenters, but it was Art Carpenter who really showed me what could be done with wood. I'll miss his vision.
