>Some other forums prohibit posting messages discussing, or in some cases simply referring to, open auctions. We do not have such a rule, because some such references are helpful and non-commercially motivated.

An example of an appropriate post might be someone being thoughtful and posting, "Did you notice that Stanley 51/52 on eBay Buy It Now for $100?"

But posting that you yourself have listed something for sale on eBay does seem commercial and perhaps a bit intrusive. So, I'd like to ask that we keep such posts to the Classifieds messageboard.

>a WoodCentral Classified, John? Yes, that should continue to be fine for now, but please put in the subject line "My Classified Ad" or some such. That way, folks who are not interested can skip it and not feel overly put upon. Speaking only for myself, I'm interested to learn when someone I know from here has put up a Classified, and I usually go over and read it.

OTOH, others may feel differently. So if this sort of posting, even with the subject line notification, starts to offend people, we'll have to go a different direction.
