>Awhile ago I asked about something to put on iron and steel to hold the rust at bay. Someone suggested paste wax. I picked up a can today and was floored. $6.50 for a can of Johnson's. In the barracks we used to go through a can every four or five days. When did it get so pricey ?

>It'll probably keep without special treatment (as is) forever as mentioned. I have a partial can that I use for saw and jointer tables that belonged to my now deceased father-in-law. It has plain price sticker of 75� if that reassures you as to it's keeping properties.

>I read about this rumor every year or so. It always seems to originate in Canada. As I recall, Johnson's stoppped selling it in Canada, hence the rumors. It's still widely avaible around me in the U.S. (Lowes, HD, etc.), and still shows up on their U.S. Products web-site.
