>While we were briefly out of town, we stopped by a moving sale, and I picked up a Lynx brand file-handle saw, 8", for a somewhat high price - but I couldn't help myself (picked up my first Warrington hammer and a 4-piece set of little engineer's squares, too; turned down the Crown bevel gauge). While trying to justify the price to myself, I found the Thomas Flinn & Co. website, and was comforted that I'd paid just a little over 1/3 of the new price for a pristine, essentially unused saw.
This company also sells a drywall saw - $20 or so for a tool that goes for $13 at Amazon. Of course, the Lynx saw has a beech handle rather than plastic...
Scroll down most of the site to find it.
Some pretty nice saws
