>Yes, it does seem like a nice little saw. Mostly I've got old Disstons or Atkins (including a truly sweet little Disston and Sons backsaw that, up to now, was my intended dovetail saw - a gift from Alister Orme when I visited him a few years back).

I've got a Starrett diemaker's square that offically lives over in the machinist's top chest in the back corner of the shop, and I find I'm using it more and more often, so this set of squares, including a 2" square, looks to be potentially quite useful. The 6" square seems to show a hairline of light off square - bummer - but the 2", 3", and 4" squares all look clean.

Sun? Yeah, we've had some off and on, but when we just got back from the store, it started raining again. Like fools, we'd thought to spend the weekend up in Fort Bragg, until we walked outside up there (colder than certain comparisons not suitable for a family forum, and predictions of serious rain, which, on the North Coast, means frogs strangling everywhere you look) - stayed one night, checked out of motel, came back. It was a nice return: wandered through the Mendo Coast Botanical Gardens, stopped at Navarro Winery, and, of course, went to the moving sale about two miles south of our motel...
