>I have two Garland rawhide mallets (from Saco, Maine) that I picked up at an MWTCA meet. They make a 1" diameter mallet which they list as 2oz. If it's like my 1.5" or 2", they run on the small side, and I wouldn't be surprised if the 1" is actually 7/8". Also, my 1.5" mallet has a total weight 6 oz, inlcluding wood handle. So I would imagine that 1" mallet is also 2oz including wood handle. The list it at $11.92. I don't remember what I paid for mine, but would guess half that price....though it was from a flea market type of sale...
Their website is below. They have a sales locater also on this page.
I don't use my 2", though I use my 1.5" often. I would trade the 2" for a 1" if I had the option.
enjoy,
Dave
