Looking at the right cheek, you'll see a row of nicely countersunk screws.

The real giggle comes from the sellers full disclosure: "The curve section of the handle is missing as is a piece of the base metal. Not a major factor."

As well, I find this laughable: "The tall knob and handle are original and Brazilian Rosewood."

I've got to wonder why they did go thru all this trouble and when. I bet it was done long ago when the option of buying another one wasn't a good financial option. Pity about the big chip in the sole tho. Heck, if not for that I might of been willing go $25 for it just to show what a bit of ingeunity and determination can pull off when the need is great enough.
