Getting closer

>I have been procrastinating for quite awhile, but finally decided to get it in gear. This weekend finished the base to my workbench. I thought long and hard and decided to go with a bench in the style that David Charlesworth describes in his second book (I think that's correct). It is made from Douglas Fir. Legs are 4 x 4, stretchers are 4 x 6. Joints are mortise and tenon, reinforced with bed bolts and barrel nuts. Might not sound like a good choice, however this thing is rock solid. Now to finish the top. Yes, there were some electrons killed while making this bench base. I did put the unfinished top on to make a box for one of my planes. The dovetails on the box are a bit rough, but functional. Thanks.
