>Just missed a Stanley 248 for $6 on the Bay this weekend. Are these workable ploughs? Are there sources for the irons, or is this a make-your-own project?

>I guess you could set one of these up to do drawer bottom grooves or something. The blade is stout but I don't like the fact that it is adjusted with a screwdriver. Just not a convenient plane to use. Also the depth foot is kinda small. For what it does, I would rather have a #45 instead.
