I knew I was a Plane-o-holic when...

Dave Thompson

>I bought a third Dunlap #3 plane.

(Couldn't help myself... vintage unused ones are only 5 bucks on the bay and make great light scrub planes. Now each one of my boys can have a light scrub when they get older....yeah that's what I tell myself.

BTW, can anyone confirm my vague recollection that Dunlaps were made by Millers Falls?

thanks,

Dave

>Below is a link to the Sargent Plane page where they refer to producing the Dulap line of planes for Sears & Roebuck. Since Sears sourced out it's tool line to several manufacturers, Miller Falls may have produced some also but their info doesn't mention it.

>Thanks for the reference Richard. That would explain why one of my Dunlaps looks like a Sargent and another looks more like a Millers Falls.
