Cosman "piston fit drawer", a good idea?

>The club bought the piston-fit drawer CD which I watched last night. Not unexpectedly it was well done and full of useful ideas, as are his other CD's. If it looked as cold outside here as it does through his shop windows I would probably spend enough time in my shop to be able to cut flauntable dovetails, but that's another issue......
Is this piston- fit- 0.002" clearance on a drawer practical? I'm skeptical. Maybe on a small drawer. But I am making drawers 42" wide and up to 9" tall. A differential change in dimension of the drawer or opening of 0.005% and my drawer will bind. Could I hope for a case or drawer to be that stable over time? Does anyone have experience with piston fit drawers? What is a practical clearance for a large drawer? I'm thinking 1/32 or more, not 0.002".
