On the other hand, if you were a volunteer member of the WoodCentral Spam Patrol e-mail list, things would be a bit different. It's a bit ironic that, in trying to keep WoodCentral safe, we get plenty of annoying and infectious spam, but also the opportunity to participate in the disbursment of many Nigerian fortunes.
Please note that sending a message to the patrol does NOT put you at any risk.

>You can thank the creators of WebBBS, mostly, for making it very difficult for the spammers to harvest e-mail addresses from WC. That's the software on the server that runs WoodCentral. It was also the software behind Badger Pond. To get an e-mail address, someone has to read the post and manually find, select and copy the e-mail address from it. That's too much effort for most of those scum, so they go elsewhere, where the pickings are easier.
