What happened to Shepherd Tool?

>Does anybody know if Shepherd Tool is still in business? Their web site isn't working and I can't get a response to my e-mails. Even when I call there is no answer, I left a message but no one has gotten back to me yet and it's been several days. I wouldn't be concerned but they've got my money. >Uh-oh, THIS is bad news. I've been trying to get a refund from them for months. The usual story of emails long unanswered, multiple delivery promises not kept, etc. I got a promise from Ben Knebel in the fall that he'd send me a partial check in November and the rest in December. I got one check in December, and since then, nothing. It is outrageous - I'd ordered TWO Shepherd-built Norris A5-with-adjusters, too, so it's not an insignificant amount of money.
All this, after I'd gone to some trouble to make the arrangements for a presentation they gave for the current class at CofR.
If anyone gets or hears anything, let us know?

Ben is dealing with a serious back problem that only allows him to build 2 -3 hours a day thus the backlog is getting longer on finished planes. Finished plane sales are temporarily suspended until Ben can get the backlog caught up. If you want to order one we can take your order --only with the understanding that the wait will be very long.
This does not affect kit plane sales or deliveries
