>It's been many a moon since I've seen this. This is castle rock state park, about 10 miles north of us. We usualy have to drive about 4-5 (sometimes more) hours to see snow. It was a fun to see this weekend. Snow here in March of all months... weird.

It was beautiful up there, very serene. My wife looked like a 5 year old running around in it. Heard it turned into a bit of a mad house up there on Sunday. We definitely picked the right day Joel!

Used to live on the penninsula but escaped to the Sierra foothils here about 15 years ago. I now live on a ridge top about 3000 feet and so also have had a few snowstorms here this year but seeing it at Castle Rock sure takes me back.
Used to be my major climbing practice area when we weren't headed to Yosemite.
