Amazing discovery
Tom MacGregor
>After yet another year of watching the ebay listings, I have made an amazing discovery. It appears that once upon a time or in days of yore or whatever, thousands of itinerant plane salesmen traversed the country with small sample planes in their pockets. Although attempting to gather orders proved very difficult without having the actual full size item in hand, the sheer number of surviving salesman's samples proves that they found a market after all. Fortunately, at least several hundred thousand violin makers were eager to snap up any configuration of plane (or plane-like object) as long as it was under approximately five inches long. You're welcome, I knew you'd all been wondering about it.
