Interesting brace bits

>Apparently the garage sale season is officially underway here on the North Coast: one Friday (chisel, scribing gouge, nice Stanley No. 61 marking gauge with wooden thumbscrew), and one Saturday (various small things, the best being a wooden case with a full, if rusty, set of Yankee pushdrill bits, and what I'm posting about this morn). I tend to pick up offbeat square tang bits when I find them, and thought I'd share these two.
Countersink bits for braces seem to come in lots of forms, unlike the limited types made nowadays for 'lectric drills. My scanner couldn't show the shape very clearly for this one (top in photo), but it's much like a spoon bit: half the shape of the countersink, but with an intriguing notch cut out at one upper edge. I'll be interested to see how well it works.
I've found other examples of what I think of as a gimlet bit (bottom in photo), but this is especially clean and shiny.
